Skeleton Gorge, situated directly above Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens is a hike that offers a bit of everything. From extreme adventure to superb views.
We’ll do a circular route that starts out hiking through the forest along a contour path, followed by a pit stop at Skeleton Gorge Waterfall before ascending the trail to the top.
Expect to be surrounded by trees, mossy rocks and the sound of the stream alongside for most of the way up. When reaching the top we will stop at the Hely Hutchinson Reservoir which opens up to a “beach-like” appearance and is quite peaceful.
