Lions Head – 21st October (Intermediate)

Start your weekend with this fulfilling experience!

Located next to Table Mountain, Lions Head peak reaches an elevation of 669m above sea level and towers over Signal Hill at 350m. But don’t let this fool you as you still have to put the work in.

The trail is not too technical but has got sections with staples and ladders that adds to the adventure. Luckily there is an alternate route avoiding the staples, we’ll make the call when we get there.

Following a circular route, we’ll hike up Lion’s Head from the back, which is a less travelled route and offers amazing views of Signal Hill and surrounds.

When reaching the top… expect a sense of achievement, accompanied by 360 views. One of the best spots in Cape Town to watch the sunset!

Difficulty level : Intermediate – This is not an entry level hike due to some steep ascents but also not too strenuous, so if you feel up to the challenge sign up and give it a go! We’ll warm the legs up with a nice flat walk across the saddle to link up with Lion’s Head trail, then another 45min to the top.
