The Cape of Good Hope Hiking Trail follows a circular route of 33.8km through the Park, and takes two days (one night) to complete. It begins and ends at the entrance gate of the Park, where secure overnight parking is provided.
If you’ve done a day visit to the park you’ll know how beautiful it is, now imagine spending 2 days exploring that coast on foot. There are wild animals, but they do not pose any risk – they include bontebok, klipspringer, zebra, ostriches, caracal, eland and baboons. This is truly one of the most magical way you can see the most South Western point of Africa.
We’ll sleep in a cottage, that has six beds. There is a communal bathroom and fully kitted kitchen with an outside braai area.
There will be porterage for our luggage and beverages so you’ll basically hike with a day pack. Each person is allowed 1 bag to be portered to the hut. This bag will include your sleeping bag.
Difficulty level : Day 1 is relatively flat, we’ll be walking for roughly 6 hours each day. We’ll take the necessary breaks and keep the group together but understand that distance and inclines make for a strenuous hike, previous hiking experience or a physically active lifestyle is compulsory to complete the hike comfortably – chat to us if you’re unsure of your capabilities.
Whats included: Experienced guide, Entrance permit for locals, All Catering(1 x breakfast, 2x lunch, 1 x dinner), porterage of extra things needed.
