Breakfast Rock Sunset – 05 December (intermediate)

Situated above Camps Bay, this trail has an abundance of views overlooking the Atlantic Seaboard.

The hike starts with a gradual uphill on a jeep track and followed by rocky steps which is a little steeper, also involves a few scrambles (not very technical) that adds to the adventure.

Expect to see an overload of beautiful plant life and amazing scenery as you look back to find views of Lions Head, Camps Bay, Seapoint and surrounds! This time of year the Table Mountain Watsonias are in full bloom so expect a colorful display en route.

After roughly an hour of hiking, we will reach “Breakfast Rock” which is a perfect look out point for watching the sunset.

A delicious muffin and a warm beverage will be served around sunset time.

Being a less travelled route for sunset, makes for a peaceful experience to unwind from a busy day.

Difficulty level: Intermediate – Entry level distance but with a steep incline throughout and some scrambling involved but not too technical though.
