Table Mountain National Park has so many good views to offer and the views from Suther Peak is definitely some of it’s finest – all the way from Lions Head to Kommetjie and everything in between.
The steep hike should take around 1h30min to summit for the average paced hiker and features incredible cave-like rock formations – very similar to the popular Tranquility Cracks.
There are 2 short ‘scramble’ sections which basically means you’ll use your hands to assist when going up, which ads a bit more thrill to the adventure while you taking in those breathtaking views.

Kelley Swana –
Suther Peak is one of my favourites! Firstly, it’s off the beaten track, so not much foot traffic which is always a plus. Secondly, the views are so unique and unlike any other peak in Table Mountain National Park. Thirdly, it has all the elements of being an exciting hike without taking up the whole day! These include the scramble sections and cave-like rock formations similar to Tranquility Cracks near the top. I can’t recommend this hike enough and look forward to summiting the peak again.
