Newlands Sunrise Waterfall – 26 July (entry level)

This hike is short but gives an incredible experience, it takes you on a pretty cool adventure featuring historic sites, waterfalls and a beautiful forest.
It starts with an incline, we’ll gradually ascend the mountain slope for 1.5 km before taking a well-deserved break at the King’s blockhouse, we’ll do this at a comfortable pace. From there, we’ll go around and up to have a break at the waterfall. Then make our way down a steep trail to complete the loop.
Date: Sunday 26th July
Meet-up Time: 7:00 AM
Duration : 2,5 hours
Distance: 5km
Difficulty level: Entry-level distance, but keep in mind that to get to the contour path we’ll have to hike uphill for the first 45 minutes at least. We’ll take our time and break when necessary.

Always great fun hiking with Yvette and Jody! This is an awesome entry level hike with a small sting of an incline in the beginning and then an adventure through the forest. The waterfall is absolutely beautiful after a good rainfall.
