Blackburn Ravine Hike – 24th Oct (entry level to intermediate)

Blackburn Ravine is one of Hout Bay’s finest hikes, it leads up to the Sentinel View Point and the views are surely priceless.

The hike offers a incredible views after a short challenging ascent through a lush ravine, surrounded by indigenous fynbos and impressive rock formations. The trail starts near Chapman’s Peak Drive and follows a well-marked path that gradually becomes steeper as you approach the top.

I’ve designed this route to cater for more fitness levels so if you’re active and relatively new to hiking this hike would be suitable for you.

Meet up time: 8am
Duration: 2,5 hrs depending on pace
Distance: 7km
Difficulty level:  Entry level – no need for high level of fitness, but there is uphill hiking most of the way up. Some mild exposure while hiking.  We’ll hike at a comfortable pace to ensure the group sticks together.
