Suicide Gorge is a full-day, wet-hike. It’s one of the most adventurous things you can do. Imagine going down a beautiful Gorge featuring many waterfalls and rockpools, there are even a few rockslides. The scenery and landscapes are incredible.
It starts off with a 8km hike to get to the gorge, once at the start of the kloof, kit up and take on the 7 meter rock slide into the first pool. Then there’s a series of rock jumps which take you downstream, some of which are 14 meters high, the highest jump you’ll be required to do is 5-6 meters high (so no pressure). Once we complete the kloofing section, we’ll complete a loop by hiking out of the gorge and return to the starting point feeling quite exhausted. That feeling of fulfillment once its over is really special, it’s like you can’t believe what you just experienced.
It could easily take 8 hours to complete the route though, So if you’re fit, and are ready for the challenge, then you’re in for a beautiful day of adrenalin filled adventure.
