Palmiet River hike & swim – 26 Feb (Entry level)

Kogelbay Biosphere Reserve was South Africa’s first registered biosphere reserve and its pristine beauty abounds all year round! Join us for a family friendly hike and marvel at the majesty of biodiversity at its core. We’ll follow the river as it cascades through a breathtaking valley!

Situated 100km from Cape Town near the coastal town of Kleinmond, this entry level hike will leave you wanting for more. From incredible flora and the majestic Palmiet river flowing through the reserve, this hike offers something for everyone. We’ll snake along the river and reach an incredibly beautiful beach where the river awaits for a swim and a break. Bring some snacks and don’t forget your bathing suit!

Duration: 4-5 hours (depending on how long you wish to float around in the river)

Difficulty: Entry level – this family friendly hike is a perfect way to spend a day in the mountains or for anyone wanting to start their hiking journey.
