An opportunity to explore one of the most scenic caves in Cape Town!
Our first stop will be Oppelskop, a magnificent spot to visit. It resembles a mini mountain peak and overlooks the City, we’ll take a break there while enjoying a warm beverage.
This is a simple but fulfilling hike, offers incredible panoramic views of Cape Town CBD, Lion’s Head and Table Bay below.
The cave is one of the largest on Table Mountain. It is formed by a long horizontal crack, 50 metres wide by 15 metres deep and situated halfway up Devils Peak.
We’ll follow a route that has a series of zig zags with a nice fairly flat stretch along a contour path passing numerous waterfall streams. To get to the contour path, we’ll warm up our legs with a short but steep ascent. but with little elevation (200m) it makes this a perfect entry level hike.
