The Kalk Bay Peak hike, is a scenic and intermediate level trail that offers stunning views over False Bay, the surrounding mountains, and the quaint Kalk Bay village below. The hike starts above the Kalk Bay village and ascends towards the peak of the mountain, which forms part of Table Mountain National Park.
The views and feel in Echo Valley are always a treat, part of the hike is on a boardwalk in a forest towards the popular amphitheater.ย The summit has an abundance of 360 degree views and is always refreshing with coffee or tea in hand.
Meet-up time: 7:30am
Duration: Roughly 4 hrs
Distance: 7km
Difficulty level: Intermediate – A series of gradual inclines and some flat sections. Gets steep at times but not for too long to deplete all your energy. No high level of fitness required, just some good endurance.

Beautiful hike with splendid views on both sides of the Peninsula — a brief steep section at the start (but Jody keeps the pace manageable for all, plenty of photo/rest stops), then mostly flat and easy terrain the rest of the way. Great outing with confident and knowledgeable guide — highly recommend!!

Fantastic intermediate hike with Jody! Bit of an incline at the beginning to get the heart rate up, but the amazing 360 views at the top more than make up for it! Good morning out with coffee, good company and views for days! Highly recommend!
