St James Sunrise – 29 April (Entry level)

Echo Valley is definitely one of the less travelled areas to hike in Cape Town but offers incredible Views over False Bay.

With the mountain attracting more people we’ve curated this simple route that bares maximum reward. It’s so much more special when you’re avoiding the crowds by getting up to watch a peaceful sunrise across the ocean. Echo Valley is such a tranquil environment and you’ll definitely feel it.

We’ll call it entry level fitness including a 700 meter uphill stretch that we won’t rush and ensure everyone completes comfortably before watching the sunrise and moving off to the next section. It’s pretty smooth sailing once the first kilometer is complete.

We’ll cruise down while most people are just getting started with their hike and feel fulfilled to have completed while you still have the entire day ahead of you.
