Skeleton Gorge to 5 dams – 16 Jul (Intermediate)

A longer, more strenuous hike will make for an adventurous day filled with beautiful scenery as you explore majestic waterfalls and dams on Table Mountain.

This will be a circular route that starts out hiking through the forest, followed by a pit stop at Skeleton Gorge Waterfall before ascending the trail to the top.

Hiking up Skeleton Gorge, being surrounded by trees, mossy rocks and the sound of the stream alongside is incredible.

When reaching the top we will visit 5 dams, starting at the Hely Hutchinson Reservoir which opens up to a “beach-like” appearance and is truly a magnificent sight to behold.

Cecilia Waterfall will be our last stop, an excellent break spot and a magical place.

Keep in mind that this is by no means an easy hike, safety is our main priority and we will do our best to minimize risks to ensure everyone completes the event safely. If you are unsure about your capability, please do enquire rather than assume.

Difficulty level: Intermediate – Involves hiking for a long duration and includes steep sections as well as climbing wooden ladders. Endurance will be required but we will hike at a comfortable pace.
